What the $39 is for
The box is a one-time purchase. Membership is the living part: the work of keeping a garden good, month after month.
The living part
- Maintained lists, kept by hand
- Websites change constantly under the surface: a math site adds a new video host, a library page moves its images. We watch the approved lists and mend them, so "it worked yesterday" stays a sentence you never say. Your own approvals stay yours; our job is keeping them working.
- Ask and approve, always on
- The child taps "ask a parent," the request lands on your phone, and your yes or no takes effect in the garden right away. This service runs every day, and keeping it quick is our work, not yours.
- The nightly backup
- Every night the family's files leave the box encrypted and land somewhere safe, so a failed drive or a spilled cup of coffee costs you a piece of hardware, not eight years of schoolwork. Only your family holds the key.
- A person who answers
- When something is wrong, you reach a person who knows your box because he set it up with you. How support works.
What membership is not
It is not a subscription that holds your garden hostage. If you stop paying, or if we ever disappeared, the box keeps working: your files, your documents, your reference shelf, the wall itself. What ends is the living part above. We put that in writing for every member, because a family should never be trapped inside its own garden.
The research helper is separate and pay-as-you-go: you only pay for what your kids actually use, and families that want no AI simply leave it off.
